DESCRIPTION:  The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is conducting a national search for the position of Executive Officer-Highway Project Management. Ideal candidates will be highly skilled project managers with a proven track record of delivering on time and within budget. The Project Director will report to the Deputy Chief Capital Management Officer and will be responsible for the successful construction of a 10 mile High Occupancy Vehicle lane on the northbound Interstate 405 between Interstate10 and Highway 101. The project schedule is for four years, with an anticipated additional one year contract closeout period, for a total of five years.

Qualifications: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in Engineering with a California license as a Professional Engineer is required. In addition eight years' senior management-level experience in the design and/or construction of major design build projects including extensive experience managing highway projects is also required.
