DESCRIPTION: The Seattle Municipal Court is seeking creative and
innovative candidates with strong backgrounds in probation management and
community corrections for the Director of Probation Services.
Responsibilities: Administer probation, alternatives to confinement,
day-reporting, community service, volunteer program, Court Resource Center; lead
and coordinate personnel matters for staff of 40; assess current practices,
develop training plan to implement new programs; develop and monitor budget; and
build partnerships with criminal justice and community agencies.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral/Social Sciences,
Criminal Justice, or Public Administration, minimum of 3 years in a managerial
probation position, and another 3 years as a probation counselor/officer or
related experience.
