COMPENSATION:
 Salary Range:  $68,602 –$87,193 (2008).   Fringe benefits include Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, Wisconsin Retirement Plan with 100% County contribution, Flexible Spending Account, Vacation and Sick Leave, paid Holidays and other benefits.

DESCRIPTION:  Chippewa County is accepting applications for the Director of the Department of Human Services.  The ideal candidate would have strong proven skills in organizational and fiscal management, ability to motivate and lead staff, and have working experience within a Wisconsin County Human Service delivery system.  This position requires a person to provide leadership, direction, and overall fiscal and administrative management to the Human Services Department, and ability to plan, direct, administer, organize, evaluate, and implement all Chippewa County Human Services programs.

Minimum  Qualifications:  Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration, or other closely related field with six years progressive supervisory and administrative experience in human service related programs; or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration or other closely related field with ten years of progressive supervisory and administrative experience in human services related programs. Certification in clinic social work preferred.  Must have knowledge and experience with Wisconsin Human Services programs.  Must have a cell phone and valid driver’s license.
