The Community Development Department, which includes the Building Division, combines all operations related to zoning, planning, and construction permitting and inspection. The Department is staffed with 9 FTE’s and its budget for fiscal year 2008 is $839,890. Under direction of the Community Development Director, the Assistant Director serves as the senior planning staff member within the Department and as Acting Community Development Director in the absence of the Director. Bachelor’s degree in urban or land use planning or an acceptable related field, and four years experience working in zoning and subdivision code administration or an acceptable related field.
